Technical training or A.S. in Electronics Technology plus 3 years experience, knowledge of electronic testing and calibration, and good communication skills.
Our client in Stamford, CT, a manufacturer of highly engineered niche products for the aerospace, military, and medical markets, is hiring a Laboratory Technician to join their close knit team. Key responsibilities • Calibrate equipment. • Calibrate customer equipment. • Perform Tests. • Troubleshoot and repair equipment. • Troubleshoot equipment issues over the phone. • Calibrate and repair legacy equipment. • Test and calibrate new equipment. • Prepare and write calibration test reports. • Coordinate all calibration paperwork for shipment back to the customer. • Prepare calibration procedures. • Perform general electronic and mechanical repairs needed on equipment. Education: • Technical training/schooling and 3 years on the job experience, or a • A. S. Certificate in Electronics Technology. • Military Equivalent Certificate in Electronics Technology. Knowledge Requirements: • Knowledge in Electronic Testing, Troubleshooting, and Calibration. • Knowledge in reading technical drawings. • Knowledge in SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Soldering, Rework, and Repair is a plus.
