Software Engineer – Satellite Ground Systems Location: Hybrid (Remote + On-Site Classified Environment) About The Role We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to contribute to the development of next-generation satellite ground systems tailored for classified environments. You will play a key role in creating and maintaining high-quality software solutions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and driving innovation in a critical domain. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and implement software solutions and features for satellite ground systems. • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices. • Conduct unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure software reliability and efficiency. • Collaborate with team members on code reviews, feature planning, and problem-solving. • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and integrate them effectively into the development lifecycle. • Contribute to Agile workflows and participate in team sprints to meet project milestones. Qualifications Required Skills & Experience • Proficiency in back-end development using Ruby or Python. • Experience with front-end development using Vue.js (preferred) or another modern front-end framework. • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. • Demonstrable programming expertise via GitHub or equivalent code repositories (submission of reference code required). • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practices. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Preferred Experience • Hands-on experience with COSMOS or similar satellite ground systems.
