Senior Program Manager – Aerospace & Defense Onsite in San Diego, CA $175,000 – $250,000 annually | Full-time An innovative aerospace and defense organization is redefining the future of national security and space. The team designs and delivers mission-critical solutions that protect assets, enable exploration, and drive technological superiority from Earth to orbit. We are now seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead some of the most complex aerospace programs across NASA, DoD, and commercial missions. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering, program delivery, and executive leadership. What You’ll Do • Lead multi-million-dollar aerospace programs from design and development through to production. • Serve as the primary customer interface for government and commercial partners, building trust and long-term relationships. • Apply expertise in DoD and NASA acquisition frameworks (NASA 7120.5, 7123.1, DoD 5000 series). • Own cost, schedule, performance, and risk management, leveraging tools such as EVMS, IMS, and WBS/OBS alignment. • Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure seamless integration across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and mission assurance. • Drive lifecycle milestone reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR, MRR) and ensure technical excellence at every stage. • Mentor and develop the next generation of program managers. What We’re Looking For • 15+ years in aerospace or defense, with at least 10 years leading large-scale programs ($25M+). • Strong technical literacy with the ability to engage confidently in design reviews and engineering discussions. • Deep understanding of government contracting (FFP, CPFF, IDIQ) and major subcontractor management. • Exceptional leadership, executive presence, and communication skills. • U.S. Citizenship with eligibility for security clearance. • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline required; Master’s or MBA preferred. Preferred Extras • PMP certification or equivalent. • Experience with ERP, MRP, PLM, MES, or QMS systems. • A balance of strategic vision and hands-on program execution. • Interested?
