7+ years experience in structural steel detailing with proficiency in Tekla, AutoCAD, SDS, knowledge of steel fabrication and erection, ability to read architectural and structural plans, and familiarity with relevant building codes.

Our services include: • Steel detailing and BIM • Design assist/Pre-construction • Estimating • Project management • Steel erection and Steel fabrication The position: Detailing Project Manager Detailing Project Manager – Key Responsibilities • Project-Based Management: Oversee detailing projects from initiation through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, and quality objectives are met. • Lead Modeler Responsibilities: Serve as the lead modeler by guiding modeling workflows, establishing modeling standards, and ensuring consistency across the project team. • Meeting Detailing Milestones: Plan, track, and deliver all detailing milestones on time, proactively resolving issues that could impact schedule performance. • Documentation & Revision Control: Maintain accurate, up-to-date project documentation; manage revisions, version control, and document distribution. • Interdepartmental Coordination: Facilitate communication and coordination with engineering, fabrication, project management, and field teams to ensure alignment and smooth project execution. • Model QA/QC: Perform and oversee quality assurance and quality control reviews of project models to verify accuracy, compliance with standards, and constructability. • Model Status Updating: Regularly update model progress, detailing status, and tracking logs to provide clear visibility to stakeholders. • Scope Management & Change Control: Define and manage project scope; identify, evaluate, and document scope changes to prevent overruns and maintain project alignment. • Technical Collaboration & Problem Solving: Work collaboratively with technical teams to resolve design conflicts, modeling challenges, and constructability issues. • Training & Mentorship: Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to modelers and junior team members to support skill development and ensure high-quality output. Knowledge & Experience • Ability to read and Interpret Architectural and Structural Building Plans • Distinguish between basic construction trade drawings • Understand Basic Plan/Section Nomenclature • Coordinate Gathering of Information between various trade drawings • Interpret and assess relevant information in various sections and plans with regard to structural and miscellaneous steel. • Locate and assess conflicts between trade drawings. • Understand and Use drawing scale • Building models using Tekla Structures • 7 years minimum experience in structural steel detailing • Knowledge of steel fabrication, and/or steel erection, and miscellaneous steel is strongly preferred • Knowledge and ability to navigate Tekla, AutoCAD and SDS is preferred • Ability to understand the design, build, and fabrication process • Knowledge of AISC, AWS, ASME, and other building codes is required The Benefits: • Remote option with flexible work schedule • Company paid health, dental, short term, and long-term disability • Optional employee paid Vision plan • 401k with 4% Employer Match • Paid Time Off + 7 Paid Holidays Get to know us: www.evolvesteel.com
