Remote | Freelance | Weekly Commissioned Columns We’re seeking a freelance senior style and shopping editor to contribute 3-4 articles to our newsletter each month. This role calls for an exceptional eye and strong styling sensibility, and a clear aptitude for building cohesive wardrobes that speak to our savvy, high-spending Gen X and millennial audience. You must understand luxury fashion, personal style, and know how to curate pieces that feel relevant and wearable. This is a remote freelance role. Hours are flexible. We accept applicants from any location. This role has significant potential for growth for someone excited to shape a distinctive voice in the fashion newsletter space. What You'll Do • Write and style recurring monthly columns under our pre-defined editorial frameworks. • Curate tightly edited, high-end product edits tailored to our reader profile. • Present outfit and capsule concepts that balance aspiration with wearability. • Source shoppable links and ensure pieces work together cohesively. • Deliver copy that is sharp, concise, and engaging without heavy editorial rewrites. • Monitor trends and consumer stories relevant to our audience. Must Haves • You have a clear editorial point of view. You can articulate sharp, original commentary beyond generic copywriting or predictable editorial buzzwords. We seek a unique voice to help set the newsletter apart from conventional digital fashion publications. • An exceptional eye and a high level of taste. • You’re deeply immersed in the latest fashion zeitgeist. You subscribe to multiple newsletters, follow brand accounts, and have fashion news all over your algorithm. • You are organised and never miss a deadline. (We can be flexible around your other projects, and you can set your own deadlines.) • At least 5 years of experience in Fashion as a writer, data, consultant, editor, stylist or related role. Nice-to-Haves • You are passionate about styling and getting dressed. You may have worked in styling roles, and your mind naturally thinks in terms of complete outfits. • Experience creating editorial visual stories, mood boards, and/or collages (on Canva or other). • Familiarity with the fashion and beauty Substack ecosystem. You subscribe to and read leading newsletters, or you understand the taste of Gen X and millennial high-spending, savvy shoppers. • An ability to tailor recommendations to the target audience. • Previous experience supporting or working in a shopping editor role with an understanding of how to optimise affiliate revenue. • A resourceful, proactive mindset.
