About the role The Principal Product Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the development and execution of our product strategy to drive business growth. You will define the product vision, create product roadmaps, and ensure on-time and on-budget delivery. This role involves deep involvement in strategic planning for both the product and the company as a whole. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of product discovery and development, is able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, and is passionate about delivering innovative products. You may also be responsible for managing a team of product managers and providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members. The successful candidate should be based on the East Coast. Key Responsibilities Product Discovery: Define and prioritize product requirements based on market trends, user research, customer feedback, and business objectives. Product Delivery: You'll be accountable for delivering product improvements on time and in alignment with business stakeholders. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including development, UI/UX design, UX research, marketing, and sales) to ensure product requirements are understood and delivered. Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and customers. Strategic & Thought Leadership: Lead the development and execution of long-term product strategy that aligns with the company's overall vision and goals. Participate in executive-level discussions, represent the voice of the product and customer, and share industry insights, best practices, and innovative strategies based on a deep understanding of the product landscape. Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Essential Criteria Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering products that meet customer needs and business objectives. This must include at least 2 years of operating at a senior product manager level. Professional Knowledge: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction and Data Science or a related field. Skills: A combination of technical, strategic, communication, and leadership skills, along with a customer-focused mindset and strong business acumen. You should have demonstrated the ability to lead and mentor product management teams, define meaningful OKRs and KPIs, and prototype with AI tools for ideation and rapid validation. Product Data Analytics: Demonstrated ability to use data analytics to monitor product performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to improve the product. Problem-Solving: The ability to handle complex tasks that require a deeper understanding of industry standards and practices. Organizational Knowledge: A deep understanding of the product team and product objectives and their relation to business objectives, as well as an understanding of other departments like marketing, sales, and finance. Process Complexity: You should have experience developing new, department-wide processes. Communication: Strong communication, social, and diplomatic skills are required to communicate complex issues and negotiate effectively.
