We’re looking for a Director of Strategic Account Management to lead and grow our top accounts at EvenUp. This role will directly manage a senior contributor team of Strategic Account Directors while also working closely with our executive team to shape the future of how we partner with our most impactful, high-touch enterprise accounts. You’ll provide leadership and coaching to the team, define success frameworks, partner with co-founders on strategic goals, and ensure our most valuable customers receive best-in-class support and outcomes. What You’ll Do Lead & Develop the Team: Manage and coach a team of 5-8 Strategic Account Directors, helping them refine their account strategies, client engagement, and revenue growth planning. Shape the Function: Partner with EvenUp’s executives to set goals, build enablement resources, and contribute to headcount planning as the team scales. Drive Growth & Retention: Support the team in upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities across a portfolio of large, high-touch accounts. Strategic Planning: Oversee long-term account success plans that align with customer objectives and business outcomes, ensuring consistency and excellence across the team. Executive Alignment: Collaborate with our co-founders and EvenUp executives to bring customer insights into product, finance, and operational decisions. Operational Excellence: Establish standards, reporting, and playbooks for account health, renewals, and engagement—laying the foundation for a scalable strategic accounts function. Customer Partnership: Be a trusted partner to key accounts alongside your team, including on-site engagement to strengthen relationships and drive measurable outcomes. What We’re Looking For Experience: 5+ years in Strategic Customer Success, Key Account Management, or Enterprise Sales, including 2+ years of management. Account Expertise: Track record managing large, complex accounts with $1M+ in ARR or equivalent scope. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to coach, develop, and scale high-performing account teams. Strategic Operator: Experience working with executives on team goals, resourcing, and cross-functional alignment. Consultative Approach: Comfortable engaging with C-level stakeholders and navigating complex enterprise environments. Hands-On & Agile: Thrives in high-growth, fast-paced settings with a willingness to roll up sleeves and lead by example. Travel: Willingness to travel to clients on-sites and events up to 50%. While this is a remote role, preference is for San Francisco based candidates.
