Salary Range: $117,000.00 - $151,000.00 What’s the role? As a key contributor to the Account Integrity & Security strategy, you'll be responsible for continuous partnership with Product and Engineering to drive our detection, tooling and experience work forward, evolving the existing program and building new capabilities where we're lacking. This will include staying close to evolving threat patterns and industry trends to build for the long term proactively while simultaneously ensuring emerging threats can be mitigated with minimal impact to our marketplace and members. This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Account Integrity & Security. Our Risk & Fraud organization is structured into four areas of focus: Account Integrity and Security, Merchant Risk, Transaction Fraud, and Marketplace Fraud. While we operate as one connected Risk & Fraud team, this role sits within Account Integrity and Security, where we focus on protecting Etsy accounts from compromise and abuse. This team works to prevent account takeovers, enforce platform policies, and safeguard the trust and safety of our marketplace by strengthening identity signals, clustering related accounts, and ensuring the overall integrity of user accounts. What does the day-to-day look like? Drive strategy and execution for ML innovation, labeling operations, and controls implementation. Partner with Product and Engineering to design and build broad-impact operational tools. Define the long-term tooling strategy to enhance organizational scalability and efficiency. Assess fraud risks for new initiatives and ensure appropriate technical controls are in place. Bridge the gap between operational needs and technical roadmaps for "build" functions. Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require! You should assume that your role will encompass other tasks, too, and that your job duties and responsibilities may change from time to time at Etsy's discretion, or otherwise applicable with local law. Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are: Expertise in machine learning operations (ML Ops), labeling strategy, and fraud detection systems. Technical aptitude and experience partnering closely with Product and Engineering teams to build tools. Strategic mindset focused on long-term scalability and the alignment of technical roadmaps with operational needs. Experience building product requirements, requests for proposals, and contract management preferred. Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau to extract actionable insights.
