We are in search of a summer Operations Intern for our manufacturing location in Wickenburg, AZ. The Operations Intern will play a key role in supporting manufacturing production, assisting with day‑to‑day activities and contributing to efficiency improvements on the shop floor. While production is the primary focus, the intern will also gain valuable exposure to planning, supply chain, and quality functions, building an understanding of how these areas work together to drive overall operational success. Key Responsibilities: 🔹 Production • Assist Operations Manager with safe production, safety/housekeeping programs, employee training, and ensuring quality of production orders • Observe and record time studies to identify opportunities for improvement • Help evaluate equipment layouts and support small improvement projects • Participate in corrective action projects related to production issues 🔹 Planning • Assist with documenting simple process controls and work instructions • Help collect and organize workflow information for planning purposes • Enter operational data into process and product databases 🔹 Supply Chain • Shadow supply chain staff to learn about inventory management and supplier coordination Assist with basic reporting activities such as spend, freight, and tooling costs • Gain awareness of sourcing strategies and risk analysis 🔹 Quality • Support quality teams by documenting issues and assisting with corrective action projects • Learn how operators and engineers address urgent quality concerns • Help with basic reporting on ongoing quality initiatives Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 1 year Business, Supply Chain or Manufacturing focused college education. Proficient in Microsoft application (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook). PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Some bending and twisting are required. Routine duties will occasionally require lifting approximately 10-20 pounds (and periodically heavier loads.) ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: All work will be done in a timely manner within established quality standards and consistent with Company policies, priorities and needs. The individual holding this position has a broad responsibility for carrying out the objectives of the Company including supporting all company policies, meeting goals, and working as a contributing team member. Performance will be measured on the function/duties described in the position description, accomplishments during the review period, and the methods/work skills used to achieve the goals.
