Job Title: Data Entry clerk (Fresher/ Entry Level) Client Name: State of VA Job ID: 25-54428 Work Location: 8251 Greensboro Dr. McLean, VA 22102 Pay Rate: $14.00 to $16.00/hr. on W2 Without Benefits Duration: Long-Term Contract Work Mode: 100% Onsite Work Hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm Job Summary The client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Indexer to manage and maintain the indexing of critical tax documents and records. The Indexer will ensure that information is accurately categorized and easily retrievable to support the client's mission of tax administration and enforcement. Job Responsibilities • Review, analyze, and index tax-related documents, forms, and records according to IRS standards and guidelines. • Assign appropriate indexing codes and metadata to ensure accurate classification and retrieval of documents. • Maintain and update digital and physical filing systems to enhance document accessibility. • Collaborate with other departments to verify document accuracy and completeness. • Conduct quality control checks to ensure data integrity and compliance with privacy and security regulations. • Utilize IRS software tools and databases for indexing and record management. • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation related to indexing activities. • Adhere to IRS confidentiality policies and handle sensitive information with discretion. Job Requirements • Experience in document management, indexing, or administrative roles is an asset. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Proficient with data entry and document management software. • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Skills • Familiarity with tax-related documentation. • Experience with federal or government record-keeping systems. • Knowledge of database management and indexing software. Educational Requirements High School Diploma or Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree Note • Candidates must be able to obtain IRS Clearance after the offer is extended. • Clearance process will be initiated post-offer; candidates must comply with all background verification steps. • Lifetime background check. • Candidates must not have any active loans or lines of credit.
