The Challenge We are hiring the first Product Manager for Esusu Identity Services. This role is an opportunity to truly own a product, not simply execute on a predefined roadmap. EIS operates like a startup within Esusu — we move quickly, prioritize judgment over process, and focus on outcomes over perfection. You will be expected to independently drive clarity, make tradeoffs, and push work forward in an environment with incomplete information. You will report directly to the General Manager of Esusu Identity Services and work closely with engineering, leadership, customers, and external partners to shape the future of the product. What will you help deliver Product Ownership & Delivery Own the EIS product backlog and ensure it reflects the highest-impact work for the business. Define and document product requirements and feature specs that enable fast, focused engineering execution. Make ongoing prioritization decisions across features, technical debt, experiments, and operational work. QA new features prior to release to ensure quality, correctness, and customer readiness. Act as the primary source of clarity for engineers by removing ambiguity and unblocking progress. Analyze product performance and drive continuous improvement through data-informed decisions Discovery, Strategy & Planning Partner with EIS leadership to define product direction and maintain a clear, pragmatic roadmap. Conduct customer, market, and competitive research to inform new product initiatives. Translate business problems into concrete product opportunities and experiments. Evaluate tradeoffs across speed, scope, and impact to drive meaningful outcomes. Cross-Functional & External Work Serve as the connective tissue between engineering, leadership, and customer-facing teams. Support sales and go-to-market efforts with product context, prioritization input, and feedback loops. Ensure internal teams are well-positioned to support new feature launches Lead exploration and negotiation of key vendor relationships that support the EIS product strategy. Qualifications Highly self-directed and comfortable pushing important work forward without being asked. Strong product judgment and the ability to make decisions with imperfect or incomplete information. Opinionated and thoughtful, with a willingness to challenge assumptions in pursuit of better outcomes. Pragmatic about quality — you know when “good enough” is sufficient and when precision matters. Technically minded, able to reason fluently about product flows, edge cases, and data dependencies, even if you’re not an engineer by training. Motivated by ownership, accountability, and impact rather than rigid process or narrow scope. Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, startup-within-a-startup environment. 3-5 years of product management experience. Experience owning a product or major feature area for 1+ years Strong written and verbal communication skills. Above and Beyond Prior startup or early-stage company experience. SQL experience or strong comfort working with data. Experience in fintech, proptech, identity, verification, or fraud-related products.
