We collaborate with global enterprises, health systems, and research labs to improve patient outcomes through data. The Role You will test and validate a medical device data warehouse used for real world evidence and analytical workloads. The focus is data quality, data lineage, statistical correctness, and traceability of transformations within an AWS Databricks data lake environment. You will work closely with data engineers, developers, analysts, and scientific users and will serve as the primary data quality analyst for the program. Interview Process During the interview candidates will participate in a short analytical exercise involving a small dataset. You will ask questions, explain your reasoning, form and test hypotheses, and communicate findings. Location Remote. Equipment pickup required in person at locations throughout the US within the first month for identity verification. \n Key Responsibilities Investigate data anomalies and inconsistencies and determine root causes using SQL and system knowledge Design test plans that validate correctness of data pipelines, ETL logic, and derived metrics Develop traceability from raw ingest through transformations to final analytical outputs Define and execute validation strategies for time series sensor data and clinical metadata Collaborate with data analysts to verify outputs match scientific and business expectations Document requirements, test cases, traceability matrices, defect reports, and validation evidence in an ISO13485 quality system Communicate reasoning and findings to technical and nontechnical stakeholders Contribute to continuous improvement in data quality standards, documentation, and processes Analytical Traits We Value Think out loud while solving a problem Ask clarifying questions early instead of assuming Form hypotheses and test them with data Communicate reasoning clearly and concisely Handle ambiguity and incomplete information Enjoy solving puzzles involving data and logic Required Experience 4-year college degree in an engineering or related field 5+ years of quality assurance experience Strong SQL and data analysis skills Experience validating data warehouses, data lakes, or analytical systems Familiarity with ETL patterns, data modeling, and data lineage concepts Strong written and verbal communication ability Ability to work independently on complex analytical tasks Proven ability to prioritize and deliver in multi-project environments Preferred Experience AWS Redshift, Databricks, or Spark HP-ALM Time series or device-generated health data Real world evidence, clinical research, or regulated environments ISO 13485, validation, or traceability documentation Statistical reasoning or experience with analytical workflows \n $125,000 - $150,000 a year Generous benefits including fully paid healthcare for you and your family, dental coverage, 401K with match, 18+ days of PTO, your birthday off, and holidays, and much more. \n Life at Estenda Headquartered in Wayne, PA, we are a remote-first company.
