Position Details Position Information Position Title Part-time - Temporary - Office Assistant -WEC Reports To Supervisor - Associate Director of Campus Services and Community Initiatives or Dean of CCE & WD Functions and Responsibilities Job Summary Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Campus Services and Community Initiatives or designee, the Office Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the West Essex Campus. The Office Assistant assists with daily office operations, responds to student and staff inquiries, organizes documents, and performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient campus services operations. Please Note: Essex County College does not provide visa sponsorship of any kind. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment. Supervisory Role Duties & Responsibilities • Greet campus visitors and provide tours • Answer telephones and provide information on the campus as well as College • Assist with events as needed • Assist faculty with supporting academic process • Assist students with inquiries • Communicate any issues to the Associate Director or Dean as appropriate • Assist with technology access, Moodle, or webservices as needed • Other duties as assigned • Evening or daytime hours assigned as needed not to exceed 20 hours per week Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and functions of the job and are not meant to be all inclusive.
