Full Description

Position Summary Director of Truckload Strategy is responsible for leading key operational initiatives, opportunities for automation, business analysis, and reporting in support of corporate goals, department goals, and strategic continuous improvement projects. The Director of Truckload Strategy interacts with Sales, Solutions, FTL and LTL carriers, all operations teams, Account Management, and executive teams regularly. This individual serves a critical role in serving our customers by driving operational efficiencies and promoting growth. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to the following: • Develop & maintain a strategy for growth and retention of new and existing FTL customers • Regularly attend Enterprise Sales internal and external persuasion calls/meetings to provide detailed insight into the FTL mode and its operations • Develop SOP’s, KPI’s, and other measurements while onboarding new customers and ensure these are met and reported upon regularly for all customers • Develop & maintain overall & customer specific carrier metrics/scorecards to drive service improvement • Develop & maintain expert understanding of the domestic transportation markets • Establish good relationships and trust with individuals across all offices and departments to foster collaboration and gain insight into operations. • Support eShipping business unit's responsibility for continuous improvement through analysis leading to improved business processes, systems utilization, visibility, and automation • Identify and drive opportunities to automate operational processes and create efficiencies. • Provide leadership and development to the team exemplifying eShipping’s core values, mission statement and culture through the practice of our 5 E’s. Minimum of 1-2 days/year dedicated to personal development and teamwork • Other administrative duties as assigned Specific Department Responsibilities • Develop & Maintain knowledge of applicable pricing agreements, contracts, and protocols • Maintain knowledge of and expertise in McLeod and other operational systems. • Maintain knowledge of transportation and logistics Required Skills and Abilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
