EVP, Managing Director – Technology Practice The Managing Director is responsible for leading and growing Escalent's Technology Market Research & Insights Practice, service technology clients through custom market research, stratfic insights, customer experience, brand, product and innovation research. This role will lead in partnering with B2B and B2C technology companies to solve strategic business questions through custom research and insights. This role combines expertise in market research, insights, and analytics with full business ownership, including revenue growth and profitability. The Managing Director leads a senior team across client delivery, business development, and innovation, with a clear mandate to scale the business and strengthen client impact. As part of the extended senior leadership team, this role contributes to company-wide strategy while translating priorities into tangible commercial and operational results. Responsibilities: • Strategy & Business Leadership • Revenue Growth & P&L Ownership • Business Development & Client Leadership • Leadership & Organization Development • Market Presence & Industry Leadership • Innovation & Capability Building Qualifications: • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience within a custom market research, insights consulting, or strategic research organization. • Demonstrated success leading a Technology, TMT (Technology, Media & Telecommunications), or B2B Technology research practice. • Deep expertise in custom qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and insight-led consulting. • Proven experience managing a P&L and growing revenue within a market research or insights business. • Established relationships with senior decision-makers across leading technology companies and a track record of winning and expanding custom research engagements. • Experience serving global technology clients—including organizations such as Apple, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Meta, NVIDIA, Tesla, or comparable technology companies—is strongly preferred. • Experience gained within firms such as Escalent, Ipsos, Kantar, Gartner, IDC, Forrester, NielsenIQ, Circana, Hall & Partners, C Space, or similar research and insights organizations is highly desirable. • Candidates whose backgrounds are primarily in software development, SaaS product management, engineering, or enterprise software leadership without substantial market research and insights consulting experience are not the intended fit for this role.
