Full Description

Job Title: Microsoft Fabric & Power BI Contractor Overview: We are seeking a contractor with hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric to support the design, development, and optimization of modern data and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in Power BI and be comfortable working across multiple components of the Microsoft data platform to deliver scalable, business-ready insights. Key Responsibilities: • Design, build, and maintain data solutions within Microsoft Fabric, leveraging capabilities such as Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and Real-Time Analytics. • Develop and optimize data models, pipelines, and transformations using Fabric tools (e.g., Dataflows, Lakehouse, Warehouse). • Create and enhance Power BI semantic models, reports, and dashboards that support business decision-making. • Integrate and manage data across sources using OneLake and related Microsoft ecosystem tools. • Ensure data quality, performance optimization, and adherence to best practices for governance and security. • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate analytical requirements into scalable data solutions. Required Qualifications: • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric in a production or enterprise environment. • Strong expertise in Power BI (data modeling, DAX, report development). • Experience with modern data platform concepts including data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, and dimensional modeling. • Familiarity with Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or related technologies. • Ability to work independently in a consulting or contract capacity. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience implementing end-to-end analytics solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem. • Knowledge of governance, security, and performance optimization best practices. • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.
