The Proposal Specialist will develop, write, and edit high-quality proposals and responses to RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs tailored to healthcare organizations. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure alignment and accuracy in meeting bid requirements.
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in proposal writing or technical documentation for healthcare or technology industries are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management software is also necessary.
Summary Description Purpose of Role The Proposal Specialist will support the development, delivery and coordination of net new and renewal proposals (e.g. RFQ, RFI, RFP) received at Equiti Health. This role will enable our ability to delivery accurate, comprehensive, and timely proposals to meet bid requirements set forth by leading health systems, hospitals and complex medical organization in the U.S. This role is accountable to leveraging existing tools and resources to ensure proposals fulfill all outlined criteria, while representing the capabilities and differentiators that will help Equiti Health continue to grow market share through net new client acquisition and retention goals. Goals, objectives and related KPI will be outlined and agreed upon between this role and the VP of Revenue and Channel Operations. Essential Responsibilities Develop, write and edit high-quality proposals, RFQ/RFI/RFP responses, and update supporting documentation tailored to healthcare organization needs. Translate complex technical requirements (including healthcare use cases, technology integrations, and interoperability needs) into clear, persuasive content for both technical and non-technical audiences. Collaborate with sales, client success, product, privacy & security, and technical teams to ensure alignment and accuracy of requirement-to-response. Maintain and contribute updated proposal templates, boilerplate language, and a centralized content library for consistency and efficiency. Adhere language use in accordance to healthcare rules, regulations and guidelines (e.g. HIPAA) Research and integrate competitive insights, best practices, and industry standards into proposal strategies as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong technical and sales storyboard writing skills, including experience with technology related documentation is preferred. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an attention to detail and high accuracy. Proven track record leading RFP/proposal processes that directly impact revenue growth. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term project goals and short-term collaboration and execution. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or eligible related experience, is required. Minimum 3+ years of experience writing proposals, RFQ/RFI/RFP responses, or technical documentation for healthcare, technology, or related industries. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint) Proficiency in Proposal Management Software. Experience with Loopio software specifically is preferred. Previous experience in healthcare, directly or in support service delivery, is preferred. Previous experience, or detailed familiarity with language access industry is highly preferred. Knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations, including and not limited to HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2 is a plus.
