The IT Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for end-to-end delivery of IT projects while also defining, improving, and reporting on IT operational processes. This role partners closely with IT leadership and business stakeholders to prioritize demand, manage resources, and provide clear visibility into project and operational performance. The ideal candidate has a strong background in IT Operations environments and is technically fluent enough to understand infrastructure dependencies—not just manage timelines. Title: IT Infrastructure Project Manager Location: Houston, TX (Remote) Industry: Construction Type: Contract2Hire W2 Only You’ll do this → Own and prioritize the IT project portfolio across infrastructure, security, and operations Plan and deliver 5–7 concurrent IT projects using hybrid Agile/Waterfall Coordinate IT Steering Committee meetings and executive reporting Define, document, and optimize IT operational processes Identify automation and technology improvements for IT workflows Produce clear, one-page stop-light project and portfolio status reports You’ll bring this → Strong IT Project Management experience in infrastructure/operations environments Working knowledge of VMWare, Citrix, Windows Server, storage, networking, and backups Ability to “speak infrastructure” (networking, storage, SQL, OS, MDM) at a high level Experience with executive and cross-department stakeholder communication Comfort managing priorities, resources, and dependencies in a small IT shop
