Materials Planning Supervisor Location: Chicago, IL Full-Time | On-Site | $90,000–$95,000+ Shift Options: 6:00 AM–3:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM About This Opportunity Epitec is partnering with a Tier 1 automotive supplier that manages the complete suspension and overhead systems for OEMs such as GM, Ford, and Chrysler. We’re seeking experienced professionals for a direct-hire Materials Planning Supervisor role based onsite in Chicago, IL. What You’ll Do • Lead, mentor, and develop a materials planning team • Oversee planning, procurement, and material flow activities • Manage supplier performance and drive delivery improvements • Maintain accurate MRP/RPS system data and planning parameters • Support production scheduling and collaborate with cross?functional teams • Coordinate engineering changes and customer delivery updates • Manage JIT expediting, customs/brokerage requirements, and inventory accuracy • Resolve supplier discrepancies, obsolescence claims, and material issues • Execute special assignments and support documentation processes Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field • 5+ years of materials management experience (automotive preferred) • Proficient with MRP systems, RPS, MS Office, and sequencing software • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills • Assertive expediting capabilities and strong problem-solving skills • Professional certifications (CPM, APP, CPIM) are a plus • Valid driver’s license; up to 10% travel Why This Role Stands Out • Direct-hire opportunity with a major Tier 1 automotive supplier • Great team environment • Strong benefits package • Competitive compensation with potential for higher pay for exceptional candidates • Leadership role with growth potential
