Epitec is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join our automotive client's team. As an IT Project Manager, the candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering and supporting critical systems for managing time, absence, and workforce management functions essential for paying hourly employees. • This is an ongoing W2 contract • This is a hybrid position in Dearborn, MI Key Responsibilities • Own end-to-end delivery of Workforce Management solutions, with a focus on WorkForce Software (WFS) configuration and modernization initiatives • Develop and manage integrated project plans, timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, and change control activities • Coordinate delivery across WFS, HRIS, and Payroll systems, ensuring data integrity and seamless integration • Provide executive-level reporting (timelines, Gantt charts, cutover and parallel run plans) to senior stakeholders • Partner with Product Management and Business Owners to translate business needs into clear, measurable requirements • Contribute to product vision, strategy, and roadmaps for the Timekeeping Modernization portfolio • Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring epics and sagas are decomposed into testable user stories • Lead program and project governance, bridging technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, releases, and retrospectives • Drive continuous improvement across delivery, Agile practices, and system modernization efforts • Support release and deployment activities, including system cutovers and stabilization Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in related field • 6+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years in Program or Project Management • Proven expertise managing complex, cross-functional technology programs • Strong experience with Agile and SDLC methodologies • Hands-on experience with Jira for backlog, sprint, and release management • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines, risks, and financial reporting • Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information for technical and executive audiences • Background in Workforce Management, Timekeeping, HRIS, or Payroll systems • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint and MS Teams • Experience working with third-party vendors, integrations, and data migrations • Prior experience contributing to product roadmaps and portfolio-level planning
