The Director, Services Innovation is responsible for elevating the technical rigor, architectural integrity, and delivery readiness of Epicor’s Consulting Services offerings in an increasingly complex, cloud-first, and highly integrated customer environment. This role serves as the technical authority within Consulting Services, ensuring that what is sold, scoped, and delivered is technically sound, repeatable, and aligned to Epicor’s cloud, SaaS, and configurability strategy. Acting as a bridge between Sales, Product, Engineering, and Services, the Director, Services Innovation proactively mitigates delivery risk while enabling scalable growth of advanced services. Key Responsibilities Technical Architecture & Capability Leadership • Provide architectural leadership for complex, cloud-oriented, and hybrid implementations across Epicor’s portfolio. • Define and govern technical service patterns related to integrations, data, extensibility, and platform customization. • Ensure Consulting Services solutions are designed to be scalable, supportable, and aligned with Epicor’s long-term product strategy. Pre-Sales Technical Readiness & SOW Integrity • Act as the primary Consulting Services authority for technical feasibility and delivery readiness during pre-sales activities. • Establish technical guardrails and standards for Statements of Work to reduce scope ambiguity, delivery risk, and margin exposure. • Partner with Services Sales, Solution Architects, and Product to ensure services sold are achievable with current or planned capabilities. Innovation & Advanced Services Enablement • Assess and incubate new technical service offerings (e.g., AI-enabled services, platform accelerators, advanced integrations). • Translate internal product and platform capabilities (e.g., Ascend, Slipstream) into commercially viable, repeatable service offerings. • Guide pilots and early engagements for new services to ensure learnings are captured and operationalized. Risk Management & Delivery Support • Identify systemic technical risks across active implementations and proactively drive mitigation strategies. • Reduce escalations into Product and Engineering by strengthening Services-led technical ownership. • Provide advisory support for high-risk or high-complexity engagements. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Governance • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Consulting leadership to align on technical direction without duplicating ownership. • Contribute to governance forums related to service design, innovation investment, and delivery standards. • Influence roadmap conversations by surfacing patterns observed in customer environments and delivery experience. Success Measures • Reduction in delivery escalations and rework tied to technical misalignment • Improved consistency and repeatability of complex implementations • Increased attach rates and margin performance for advanced technical services • Faster readiness and safer adoption of new service offerings • Stronger confidence from Sales and Delivery in what Services can commit to Qualifications • 10+ years of experience in professional services, solution architecture, or technical consulting • Deep understanding of ERP ecosystems, integrations, data architecture, and extensibility • Proven ability to bridge Sales, Product, and Delivery organizations • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence without direct authority • Experience operating in cloud-first, SaaS, and hybrid customer environments #HYBRID #LI-CS1 About Epicor At Epicor, we’re truly a team.
