Environmental Consulting & Technology (ECT) is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Permitting Specialist to support our Michigan Region. This role leads environmental permitting and compliance for complex projects, overseeing regulatory strategy, client relationships, and project delivery from planning through execution. Primary Responsibilities * Lead environmental projects to ensure regulatory compliance, schedule adherence, and quality delivery * Develop and execute permitting strategies; identify required federal, state, and local permits * Prepare and oversee permit applications, technical reports, and supporting analysis * Coordinate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to facilitate reviews and approvals * Manage project staffing, budgets, schedules, and client communications * Coordinate environmental field assessments with multidisciplinary teams * Interpret permit conditions and develop compliance plans for construction and operations * Perform and oversee QA/QC for project deliverables * Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and contracting documents * Mentor project teams and uphold ECT’s values of safety, quality, integrity, and teamwork Education & Experience * Bachelor’s degree in engineering or environmental science * Minimum 10 years of environmental compliance experience (consulting or regulatory) * Minimum 5 years of environmental project management experience * Subject Matter Expertise in one or more of the following: Threatened & Endangered Species, Wetland & Waterway Permitting, Vegetation Management, Land Use Permitting * Knowledge of Michigan, Iowa, and federal environmental regulations * Experience preparing environmental reports and regulatory documents * Experience leading and mentoring teams of scientists and engineers * Preference for experience supporting electric utilities * Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed Environmental Consulting & Technology, Inc.
