Responsibilities The Rental Operations Product Delivery team is responsible for the overall support of strategic solutions that enable business capabilities for our network of car and truck rental branches worldwide. In this role, you will lead a team of developers and analysts responsible for solution enhancements, support, and solution health of key rental applications. As an IT Manager, you will engage and interact with a variety of Client, API, Service and Product teams to enable new capabilities and support current rental applications. The technologies used include a mix of React, Java, Android, Oracle, and on-prem and AWS cloud-based servers. As an IT Manager in this space, you will: Define the goals, objectives, processes, and resources to support the overall strategic vision of the area Manage complex initiatives, supporting features and product enhancement that often span multiple disciplines/domains Manage scope and costs, which includes change management, employee time reporting, along with other resource costs, such as contractors and hardware Manage impact analysis of issues impacting our global operators Be responsible for people management activities including career planning/support, training, interviewing, hiring, rewarding, disciplining, and performance and salary reviews Develop and retain strong performers and prepare them for future responsibilities Collaborate with key business stakeholders, IT leaders across EM, and external vendors to deliver secure and reliable services that meet business objectives and industry mandates Identify, develop, and implement policies, standards, and procedures that support team activities and lead individuals in adhering to and supporting team procedures Initiate, build, and maintain strong relationships across IT and Corporate areas Assess and prioritize work efforts in an environment that receives new work daily Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Must demonstrate the ability to achieve results through others Well-versed in project management concepts, with the ability to take on many project management responsibilities regularly Must have strong leadership qualities, with the ability to establish and maintain solid working relationships with subordinates, peers, management and teams/departments within the IT organization Must have excellent problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Excellent communication skills, including good listening skills The Rental Operations Product Delivery team supports the applications and services that make our daily rental operations a possibility every single day.
