Responsibilities The Data Services team supports a modern suite of cloud-based technologies—including Looker, Snowflake, Atlan, and Matillion—hosted in AWS. These tools form the foundation of EFM’s data ecosystem, enabling smarter decision-making and scalable growth across the organization. As a Data Engineer, you’ll design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and integration solutions that ensure seamless data flow across systems. You’ll develop and optimize scalable ETL/ELT processes—driving innovation and pushing the business forward. Passionate about data? Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong expertise in designing, developing, and supporting ETL/ELT processes for data integration and transformation. Proficiency in writing and tuning complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, functions, and implementing error handling. Skilled in data analysis, mapping, troubleshooting, and creating source-to-target mappings with detailed documentation. Solid understanding of AWS services, including Lambda functions and data pipeline orchestration. Ability to provide accurate task estimates, recommend process improvements, and ensure security best practices in all decisions. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Experience implementing Change Data Capture (CDC) strategies and optimizing data movement. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) .3+ years designing, developing, and supporting ETL/ELT processes for data integration and transformation. 3+ years of experience writing and tuning complex SQLs, stored procedures, triggers, functions, and error trapping. Experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server,Postgres, or Teradata. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
