Job Title: Civil Engineering Project Manager Location: Winter Park, Florida Employment Type: Full-Time Department: Engineering & Development We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead and manage the design and development of multi-family residential projects. This is a unique opportunity to work as part of an in-house engineering team within a dynamic development firm—offering a rewarding compensation structure, professional growth, and flexible work options not typically found in traditional consulting roles. Key Job Responsibilities: · Oversee and direct multiple design teams in the preparation of construction plans, technical calculations, reports, and permit applications for site development projects. · Take ownership of civil site design, including site grading, stormwater management, erosion control, and utility layout. · Develop comprehensive plans for grading, storm drainage, stormwater systems, utilities, hydrology/hydraulics, and roadway infrastructure. · Manage project schedules, coordinate with local agencies for regulatory compliance, and provide construction administration support throughout the project lifecycle. · Mentor and guide junior engineering staff, ensuring high-quality deliverables and continuous professional development. · Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, consultants, and stakeholders to meet project goals and deadlines. Required Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. · Active Professional Engineer (PE) License in Florida, or eligible for reciprocity. · 6-10 years of hands-on experience in the design and production of civil site development plans. · Proficient in site grading, stormwater design, and utility planning. · Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydraflow or ICPR, WaterCAD, Bluebeam, MS Office, and Smartsheet. · Demonstrated ability to lead design teams, manage project timelines, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations. · Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. Preferred Attributes: · Ability to mentor and support the development of junior engineers. · Strong understanding of local permitting processes and construction-phase support. Why Join Us?
