Project Operations & Transformation Lead 6–9 Month Strategic Contract | Hybrid or Remote Potential The Opportunity Are you a systems-thinker who loves turning creative chaos into streamlined excellence? Our client is embarking on a major operational transformation, and we need a visionary Project Operations & Transformation Lead to architect our future. This isn’t just about moving tasks across a board—it’s about redesigning how a premier client communicates. You will lead the refinement of our workflows, spearhead the implementation of Workamajig, and establish the governance frameworks that ensure our most critical priorities move from "idea"to "impact"with precision. Your Mission As our Transformation Lead, you will serve as the bridge between strategy and execution. You will work directly with leadership to build a sustainable, high-performing project management ecosystem. 1. Architect the Workflow • Audit & Innovate: Assess current intake processes and handoffs to eliminate bottlenecks. • Standardize Excellence: Design and document universal standards and templates for both high-level strategic initiatives and fast-moving creative projects. • Govern Prioritization: Help leadership build frameworks to ensure our resources are always focused on the highest-priority goals. 2. Power the Platform (Workamajig) • Translate & Configure: Turn complex marketing workflows into practical, high-functioning structures within Workamajig. • Drive Adoption: Create the "user manual"for our success. Develop training materials and job aids that make the platform intuitive for our staff. • Visibility & Insights: Build custom dashboards that give leadership real-time visibility into team capacity and project health. 3. Lead the Change • Human-Centered Design: Facilitate working sessions and feedback loops to ensure our new tools work for the people using them. • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify "change fatigue"or technical risks, providing strategic recommendations to keep the transformation on track. Who You Are • A Certified Pro: You hold a PMP (or equivalent) and have at least 5+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional teams. • A Systems Builder: You don’t just manage projects; you improve the way work happens. You have a proven track record of optimizing operating models. • A Master Communicator: You can translate "system-speak"into plain English for creative and non-technical stakeholders. • Navigational Expert: You thrive in matrixed environments (like higher education or large nonprofits) where collaboration is the key to success. Bonus Points If: • You are a Workamajig power user or have experience implementing major platforms like Asana, Monday.com, or Jira. • You’ve worked specifically within marketing or creative agencies. The Logistics • Duration: 6–9 month contract (with potential for extension). • Direct Report: You will report to a Director, working as a strategic partner to the leadership team. • Flexibility: While we value on-site engagement for key milestones, we offer a hybrid or remote-friendly structure.
