ARE YOU AMAZING!!! We are looking to add a MEDICAL ASSISTANT to join our amazing TEAM! This is for a busy family practice located in Grosse Pointe Park. Looking for a friendly and compassionate Medical Assistant who can handle mostly clinical duties and some clerical/administrative tasks as needed. Job Duties: • Welcome and room patients and obtain vital signs, height, weight, medical history and chief complaint. • Blood draws, administer injections, administer vaccines, EKGs, PFTs, Urinalysis, sports physicals, pregnancy testing, A1c, step tests, wound care, hearing and vision, etc. • Document confidential patient information into the EMR system. (Athena is preferred) • Take messages off prescription line and answer questions when patients call in. • Keep examination rooms stocked properly with medical supplies and neat and clean after each exam. • Must be a team player and get along with patients, parents, staff, physicians, etc. Qualifications: -HS Diploma or gen. equiv. -Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate and/or transcripts -Min. 2-5 years of previous medical assistant experience -Proficient with EMR systems and Athena is a plus - Must have excellent attendance and punctuality - Must have reliable transportation IND2 Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.00 per week Benefits: • Health insurance • Paid time off Application Question(s): • What EMR systems are you familiar with: Please list: • If selected, would you be able to start in 1 week?
