About The Role Location: Remote (U.S.) Travel: 20–30% to Nashville, TN as needed Employment Type: Full-time The Associate Vice President (AVP) of DRG Solutions is a key member of the Operations Leadership Team and is responsible for administrative leadership, operational excellence, and business plan success of the DRG management service line. This includes pre-bill and post-bill chart review of all types, related Denials, and while infrequent, applicable Advisory and Education related projects. Overall responsibilities include oversight of daily operations to ensure that the business line is meeting strategic goals including revenue, budgetary, productivity, efficiency, and innovative growth and transformation. The AVP will work closely with customer success managers to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved and success metrics realized. The AVP is responsible for the recruitment, development, and retention of the CCA team and will work closely with HR and L&D to achieve high levels of employee engagement and satisfaction. The AVP will work closely with finance to provide regular forecast updates to monitor adherence budget expectations. Key Responsibilities • Lead day-to-day operations of the DRG management service line to ensure productivity, quality, chart volume, and client ROI expectations are met • Partner with executive leadership to advance technology-enabled operations and innovative DRG solutions across business units • Drive execution of business plans aligned with revenue, budget, productivity, efficiency, and growth goals • Provide financial oversight, including forecasting and monitoring adherence to budget and margin expectations • Partner with Customer Success to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and achievement of success metrics • Build strong relationships with clients, third-party partners, and internal stakeholders • Oversee recruitment, development, engagement, and retention of the Clinical Coding Analyst (CCA) team • Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR, and L&D to build scalable hiring and development programs • Develop and maintain a flexible workforce model supporting 24x7 coverage • Identify and implement process and technology improvements to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance client outcomes • Serve as a subject matter expert in sales opportunities as needed • Support operational start-up activities for new clients and ongoing service line enhancements Qualifications Required: • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Information Management, or related field (or equivalent experience) • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in revenue cycle management, including DRG coding, CDI, and related technology • Proven experience managing the P&L or financial performance of a business line or service unit • Strong operational leadership experience within healthcare services • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to analyze key performance indicators and implement actions to address underperformance • Demonstrated experience leading teams through change and growth • Strong organizational and prioritization skills • Effective presentation skills with the ability to communicate to all levels of leadership Preferred • MBA • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) • Experience supporting both pre-bill and post-bill DRG review programs • Experience scaling distributed, remote clinical teams • Strategic relationship-building and executive stakeholder management experience Work Environment & Travel • Full-time role; standard business hours Monday–Friday • Up to 20–30% travel required to Nashville, TN • Primarily sedentary, fast-paced work environment Why Enjoin? • We are Great Place to Work Certified: This certification recognizes employers who create an outstanding employee experience • Be a valuable member of a dynamic team of physicians, CDI and coding professionals • Career stability and professional growth opportunities • Full benefits (medical, vision, dental) • 401(k) • Excellent PTO package plus 8 paid holidays • Work 100% remote • Laptop and other necessary equipment provided • Complimentary annual CEUs • “White glove” onboarding/training • Access to advanced educational coding tools / resources • Employee Wellness and Discount programs • Referral bonus program for coding and CDI experts Mission Statement Our goal is to provide education and process development to enhance communication and understanding among all individuals involved in the documentation and coding of the health record to ensure the clinical reliability and integrity of the health care data.
