As an Environmental Technician/Technologist, you will work in collaboration with the GTA Environment team. Your main responsibilities will be to co-ordinate and complete assigned activities with respect to the implementation and management of environmental projects including but not limited to: • Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety policies and culture. • Provide consulting services in conjunction with environmental site assessment and remediation of sites and excess soils management (80% field, 20% office). • Main responsibilities will include: supervising drilling and excavation activities, collecting soil, groundwater and air samples, completion of hydrogeological studies including aquifer response tests, mentoring junior staff and preparation of technical report. • Work in collaboration with members of the Environment team throughout Ontario. • Participate in planning meetings. • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in leading environmental field • College or University Degree in Environmental Science/Geoscience or Engineering. • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. • Good with tools and general repair and maintenance of field equipment. • Able to work successfully in both alone worker or team setting. • Strong communication skills, written and spoken. • Outgoing and a team player. • Willingness and ability to travel throughout Ontario. • Working knowledge of the record of site condition (RSC) process and Excess Soil process in Ontario. • Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety.
