The Project Manager - Contractor would be expected to report to the office on a quarterly basis, at minimum. What We’re Looking For: Energy Trust of Oregon is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager Contractor to support the Director of Information and Technology Services in shaping and implementing the organization’s first comprehensive Data Strategy. This individual will play a critical role in helping the organization define its long-term vision for data, establish governance structures, plan and implement comprehensive change management activities, and launch a portfolio of initiatives that will ensure Energy Trust’s data is accurate, accessible, and actionable for use in strategic business opportunities and on-going decision-making. The ideal candidate is a proven project leader with a PMP certification and a track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects. Core skills include schedule management, requirements gathering, scope definition, and progress tracking, with the ability to translate strategy into actionable project plans. Experience in data-related projects—such as data governance, architecture, analytics, or enterprise information management—is strongly preferred. Success in this role will require the ability to quickly learn about the organization, build strong partnerships, and guide leadership through the steps of forming and executing a data strategy. Working in close collaboration with the Director of Information and Technology Services and the Enterprise Data Architect, the Senior Project Manager Contractor will ensure alignment across stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and drive execution of multiple initiatives that support the strategy. What You’ll Do: • Define and document project scope. • Design project plans for project implementation. • Create and manage change management • Manage project teams comprised of staff and/or contractors to execute project implementation plan. • Perform liaison role between project owner and internal and external project stakeholders. • Produces weekly project status report • Occasionally participate in providing project management and change management mentorship and training • Perform other job-related duties as assigned. • Perform all functions of the job in a safe manner. • Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibility: · This position has no supervisory duties. POSITION REQUIREMENTS · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. · Five years’ experience in all aspects of managing multiple concurrent complex projects. · Five years’ experience managing software development projects · Two years’ experience using Agile project management methodology · One years’ experience as a Scrum Master · Systems implementation strategy – knowledge and experience in successful systems implementations strategies. · Group facilitation and team building – successful approaches and processes to facilitate, build, and manage high-performing project teams · Good organization time management skills, problem-solving skills and issue resolution · Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required. · Ability to develop and lead organization change management efforts related to project implementation. · Must have proven ability to produce clear, concise reports and recommendations and make presentations. · Project management skills to create and report on project forecasts · PMP Certification preferred · Prosci Change Management Certification helpful The above information is designed to outline the major functions and position requirements of this job.
