We combine AI, machine learning, statistical methods, advanced algorithms, and deep domain expertise to tackle complex industry challenges. Our models are deployed on a robust internal data science platform, enabling scalable solutions. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in designing and developing high-impact data products. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Software Engineers, Data Engineers, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and Domain Experts to deliver production-ready solutions. We have a globally distributed, highly collaborative team and Calgary has been a major hub for us. Performance Objectives • Design and develop data science product features and solutions. • Create and maintain data products to solve key business problems in the energy sector, including power and energy transition. • Write clean, production-quality code and well-documented experiments. • Collaborate across functions to integrate models into scalable applications. • Apply pragmatic, fit-for-purpose solutions and select the right tools for each job. Competitive Candidate Profile • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field. • 3+ years of Data Science experience • Experience with development tools - Required: Python, Numpy, Pandas, Git. Preferred but not required: Kubernetes, Docker, modern CI/CD, Spark • Deep understanding of data structures and algorithms • Experience with Scrum, Agile, and collaboration practices • Strong communication skills, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset.
