Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within our medical facility, providing exceptional administrative support while delivering outstanding patient service. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient care processes, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities • Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. • Manage patient intake processes, including collecting necessary information and verifying insurance details. • Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up visits efficiently. • Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure compliance with privacy regulations. • Assist with the administration of vital signs and basic life support as needed. • Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate effective patient care. • Handle medical coding (ICD) for billing purposes and maintain accurate records of services rendered. • Assist in managing clinic operations, including outpatient and inpatient services. • Respond to patient inquiries regarding services, procedures, and general information about the facility. Qualifications • Previous experience in a medical administrative support role is preferred; hospital or clinic experience is highly desirable. • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding is essential. • Familiarity with EHR systems to manage patient data effectively. • Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine settings is a plus. • Ability to perform basic life support and administer medications as required. • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple tasks simultaneously. • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. • Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures within a dynamic healthcare environment.
