Job Summary: Responsible for the vision and execution of content in line with audience needs in order to inform, educate and engage existing and new qualified industry audiences. Primary Objectives: Advise, strategize and deliver editorial direction for the brand in line with subjects impacting the stormwater industry. Develop and create written and multimedia content to drive quality traffic to various platforms to inform the stormwater industry on complex topics and trends. Major Responsibilities: The Head of Content acts as the face and voice of their brand and the industry they serve. They are responsible for determining and maintaining the editorial strategy, tone, and angle for the brand that best meets the needs and expectations of their target audience. They set high editorial standards and actively train, mentor, and coach their teams to meet them. Internally, they act as champions for the audience, working closely with sales, marketing, and audience development teams to communicate their needs and ensure alignment. Externally, they strive to become the leading voice in their markets through editorials, articles, videos, podcasts, social media and live or digital events. Core Competencies: * Craft timely, quality content to deliver value-based, meaningful information for your audience. * Actively monitor key metrics and regularly adjust editorial tactics to account for the trends they report. * Assist in the development, planning, and execution of brand events. * Raise the profile of the brand and its staff by publishing and promoting industry-leading content. * Launch/maintain and lead editorial advisory board activities. * Speak at live and digital conferences and events in your industry. * Work closely with sales, marketing, and audience development teams to ensure alignment and brand success. * Implement SEO Best Practices: Craft compelling headlines and meta descriptions, conduct keyword research, and apply internal linking strategies to boost search visibility. * Manage Visual and Editorial Assets: Source and manage images, charts, and other multimedia elements to support content production. * Collaborate Across Editorial Teams: Participate in planning meetings, pitch content ideas, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives. * Ensure Compliance and Quality Standards: Uphold copyright, attribution, and editorial standards to maintain content integrity and legal compliance. * Support Script and Outline Development: Assist in creating scripts or outlines for short-form videos, webinars, and audio content. Knowledge/Skill/Ability: * Basic understanding of SEO/GEO, analytics, AI, Social Media platforms * Knowledge of AP Style * Knowledge of Microsoft Office platforms (Word; Excel, Outlook, Teams) * Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign; InCopy, Acrobat) * Familiarity with Photoshop a plus * Proficiency in creating and editing video and podcasts * Knowledge of journalism best practices and ethics Education/Experience * Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, Communications or related field * 7-10 years experience in writing and editing content for a specific audience * 3-5 years experience in editorial leadership * Knowledge of the stormwater industry a plus We are excited to share the annual salary range for this position is $65,000 to $67,000, exclusive of fringe benefits. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. If you are hired for this position at EndeavorB2B, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as hiring location, skillset, prior years’ experience, relevant education, certain degrees and certifications, training, and market considerations. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider any internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future & continued salary growth.
