Job Description We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to help design, build, and maintain automated testing solutions for a mission-critical healthcare platform. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about quality engineering, test automation, and building scalable testing frameworks that ensure the reliability and performance of modern web applications. As a Senior SDET, you will work closely with software engineers, product teams, and QA professionals in an Agile environment to improve product quality through automation, continuous testing, and process improvement. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and regression test suites. Build and support automated testing for RESTful APIs and browser-based web applications. Develop and maintain test environments, automation tools, and support infrastructure. Create and manage complex test data required for functional and regression testing. Validate application behavior and transactional data against business requirements. Collaborate with software engineers to improve application testability and automation. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives. Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution. Partner with Product Owners and Business Analysts to clarify requirements and define test strategies. Continuously improve testing processes, automation practices, CI/CD integration, and overall software quality. Promote quality engineering best practices across the development organization. Ensure compliance with healthcare security, privacy, and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA. Qualifications 10+ years of experience developing automated test software. Extensive experience building automated test frameworks for transactional web applications. Strong experience testing RESTful APIs and modern web applications. Experience creating automated regression test suites. Proficiency in at least one modern programming language with the ability to quickly learn new technologies. Experience working in cloud-based environments. Ability to design and generate complex test data for automated testing. Experience working with MongoDB. Experience developing or testing applications written in Golang. Knowledge of web application security principles and security testing practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). Preferred Qualifications Experience in the healthcare, pharmacy, or life sciences industry. Experience testing high-volume transactional platforms. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test automation within modern DevOps environments. Passion for continuous improvement, automation, and engineering best practices. Strong curiosity, critical thinking, and a commitment to learning new technologies.
