We have a very unique portfolio made up of Single and Multi-Family properties as well as commercial units. We are looking for a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to join the organization and support the company's growth. Must be flexible, adaptable, entrepreneurial-minded and not afraid to put in hard work and sometimes long hours to get the job done! Job Summary The Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing day to day tasks to ensure the company’s functions are running smoothly and efficiently. Candidate will display a high level of customer service, be detail oriented, and have a high caliber to undertake accounting tasks and duties relating to the company’s financial data. Be proactive, creative, personable, communicative, all the while, being an expert in bookkeeping/accounting tasks. We are looking for someone who understands the business, the growth process, and thinks outside the box to bring our clients excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is not afraid of challenges and considers themselves a master problem solver. Job Responsibilities: · Receive, verify for accuracy, and input all invoices for each property. · Ensure timely collection of rents, deposits, and fees. · Scan and deposit rent checks and enter them into Appfolio. · Make bank deposits remotely and bank branch deposits · Calculating security deposit interest in applicable areas. · Itemizing any security deposit charges and processing refunds. · Pay all vendors and associated management fees adhering to strict due dates each month. · Process owner distributions along with a monthly owner statement. · Process payroll. · Process utility billing account changes for each property upon move out and move in. · Maintain accurate records of all transactions · Reconcile bank accounts. · Furnish monthly financial reports · Prepare budgeting information for properties · Promotes positive and professional public relations with all residents and vendors. · Maintains a high level of professionalism while dealing with challenging tenant or vendor situations. · Other standard property management duties not listed here and additional duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements: · Possess a high level of customer service · Strong attention to detail · Experience with Appfolio Property Management Software and Quickbooks. · AA Degree with in accounting, equivalent training, and or experience Job Type: Part Time Job Type: Part-time Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week Education: • Associate (Preferred) Experience: • Bookkeeping: 2 years (Preferred) Work Location: In person
