Responsibilities SUMMARY DIGIT is seeking a highly motivated Citrix and VDI Engineer to join our growing IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining virtual infrastructure solutions to meet the organization's needs. As a leading provider of advanced information technology solutions and professional services to U.S. federal government agencies, is the prime for a $807m task order in support of the General Services Administration (GSA) Office of Digital Infrastructure Technologies (IDT) DIGIT (Digital Innovation for GSA Infrastructure Technologies) task order driving digital transformation and delivering continuous improvement and business value to its customers. RESPONSIBILITIES This position shall perform the following (to include but not limited to) activities: Design, deploy, and maintain virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions, including hardware and software components. Monitor the performance of the VDI/VApps Environment, identify potential issues, and recommend solutions to resolve them. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and reliability of the VDI environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and ensure that the VDI solutions meet their needs. Create and maintain technical documentation and training materials. Stay up-to-date with new technologies and advancements in the VDI field. Design, deploy and maintain Citrix environments. Participate in on-call support as required. Administration on Citrix PVS for server maintenance (ongoing task), upgrades (ongoing task), and image maintenance/updates/upgrades (ongoing task) Experience in Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop or equivalent work experience relative to supporting XenApp and XenDesktop platforms Support & Administer the Citrix environment having components like XenApp, XenDesktop, PVS, Storefront, Netscaler Qualifications CONTRACT REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS This following are REQUIRED for this position: Must possess a public trust clearance or have the ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance. ITILv4 Foundation Training and ITILv4 Foundation Certification, may be obtained within 120 days after hire. Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable. Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions Proven ability to work independently in a full and/or partial remote environment with limited supervision and may supervise/lead others. Possess the ability to communicate in both oral and written forms, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as clients. Maintain standard working hours per the DIGIT contract and to be available for meetings, and other collaborative efforts during working hours. Demonstrated ability to apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments with the ability to use practical experience and training to determine how to accomplish tasks. CONTRACT DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS The following are DESIRED for this position: Proficiency in the Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Chat, Meet, Docs, Slides, Sheets), Slack, and ServiceNow. Experience using Applayering with creating, building, and updating, software packages. Preferred but not required. Citrix certification. Must be willing to work a variety of shifts, including holidays as scheduled. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE The following are the education and experience required for this position: 4 - 9 years of experience and bachelor's degree or equivalent. Minimum of 3+ years’ experience with designing, deploying, and maintaining Support & Administer of Citrix environments. Experience as a remote worker demonstrating time management and self discipline with a cultural change management and Agile mindset. Experience using Omnissa Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM) in managing profiles and user settings. Preferred but not required. Experience with Active Directory Group Policies creation and management. Preferred but not required. Experience with Machine Creation Services (MCS) building, updating, and managing MCS images and deployment. Preferred but not required. ControlUp Monitoring software is beneficial but not a requirement. Preferred but not required.
