We are growing! Employer Flexible is expanding its Sales team and looking to add a Channel Business Development Manager in the Houston market. The Channel Sales Business Development Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing partnerships with individual contracted agents and channel partner firms, ensuring effectiveness, visibility, collaboration, follow-up, and growth. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Channel Sales and Revenue Operations, this role focuses on building strong relationships, implementing sales strategies, and driving revenue growth through indirect sales channels. The Channel Sales Business Development Manager plays a key role in aligning partner activities with company objectives and ensuring that partners are well-equipped to promote and sell the company's products or services. What We’re Looking For: This is not a “build it from scratch” role. We are specifically seeking a proven channel professional who already has a strong, active network of Centers of Influence (COIs) and knows how to monetize those relationships. Ideal candidate brings established relationships with: Employee Benefits Brokers PEO Brokers Financial Advisors CPAs Like-minded referral marketers and strategic partners Why This Role: High-visibility, revenue-impact position Established PEO platform with strong service delivery Opportunity to build and scale a true partner-first GTM motion Competitive compensation with upside tied to performance Responsibilities • Partner Relationship Management : Develop and maintain strong relationships with individual contracted agents, and channel partner firms to foster collaboration, loyalty, and growth. • Channel Strategy Execution: Assist the Director of Channel Management in implementing the channel strategy, ensuring that sales targets and performance metrics are met. • Sales Enablement: Provide training, tools, and resources to channel partners, ensuring they have the knowledge and support needed to successfully market and sell company products/services. • Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate the performance of channel partners against established targets, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. • Market Expansion: Identify and onboard new channel partners that align with the company’s strategic goals and market expansion plans. • Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and customer success, to ensure channel partners are aligned with company priorities. • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on channel performance, maintain quality data within Microsoft Dynamics including key performance indicators, pipeline development, and revenue generated, for review by the Director of Channel Management and Executive team. • Compliance: Ensure that channel activities comply with company policies and any applicable legal regulations. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field • 3–5 years of experience in channel sales, partner management, or business development (PEO/HCM experience strongly preferred) • Strong understanding of indirect sales channels and partner ecosystems • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales enablement tools • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, performance-driven environment • Relationship building and partner management • Sales and negotiation expertise • Strategic thinking and execution • Data analysis, Data management and reporting • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities • Presentation and training skills Nice-to-haves • PEO/HCM experience strongly preferred • proven channel professional who already has a strong, active network of Centers of Influence (COIs) and knows how to monetize those relationships • Ideal candidate brings established relationships with: Employee Benefits Brokers PEO Brokers Financial Advisors CPAs Like-minded referral marketers and strategic partners Benefits • Competitive Compensation Package • Work life balance • Medical/Dental/Vision • Paid PTO & Holidays • Company Paid Life • 401(k) plan with company match and much more!
