About the Role We are looking for a motivated and accountable Frontend Developer with strong leadership instincts and a passion for delivering exceptional results. This role is ideal for someone who takes ownership, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can turn tasks around quickly while maintaining a high standard of quality. You will play a key role in developing and optimizing high-performance e-commerce applications using Next.js, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and leading two junior developers to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects. Responsibilities • Develop, maintain, and optimize responsive, high-performance web applications using Next.js and React (Medusa experience preferred but not required). • Implement pixel-perfect UIs from Figma (or similar) using Tailwind CSS. • Collaborate with design, backend, and product teams to ensure seamless and efficient workflows. • Take full ownership of assigned projects, from planning to deployment, ensuring timely and quality delivery. • Oversee and mentor two junior developers, performing code reviews and setting development standards. • Build reusable and scalable components across multiple projects. • Optimize for Core Web Vitals, SEO, and overall site performance. • Ensure accessibility, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility. • Contribute ideas to improve user experience, speed, and maintainability. Required Skills & Qualifications • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Next.js and React. • Strong proficiency with Tailwind CSS and modern front-end development practices. • Experience with Figma or similar design collaboration tools. • Proven track record of taking initiative and delivering results under minimal supervision. • Prior e-commerce development experience, understanding checkout, product, and catalog workflows. • Solid grasp of SEO and performance optimization strategies. • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English. • Ability to lead, delegate, and coordinate effectively within a distributed team. Nice to Have • Ability to make or refine UI/UX designs in Figma. • Experience with multi-template or multi-storefront setups. • Familiarity with MedusaJS storefronts or plugin development. • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and agile sprint planning.
