Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to provide essential support to individuals in various care settings, including home health, assisted living, and group homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and support. This role requires a blend of practical skills and emotional intelligence to effectively assist individuals with daily living activities. Responsibilities • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. • Provide patient care and support in accordance with individualized care plans. • Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient conditions. • Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals. • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks. • Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation. • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery. • Follow HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality. Qualifications • Experience in home health, hospice care, or long-term care settings is preferred. • Familiarity with first aid, CPR, and basic patient monitoring techniques. • Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, and memory care practices is a plus. • Ability to assist individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is desirable. • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. • Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and use assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. • A background in social work or nursing is beneficial but not required. • A compassionate approach towards caregiving with a focus on enhancing client independence and dignity.
