Emerging Tech is seeking a Change Management Specialist to join our State & Local Programs team! The Change Management Specialist will guide the organization through the change process by assessing impacts, ensuring readiness, and providing communication, training, and support for new processes, systems, or changes for the New York City Department of Education within their assigned borough. The ideal candidate is a technically proficient and engaging professional with a strong track record of implementing effective change management strategies, engaging stakeholders, and supporting adoption of new tools and processes. Responsibilities and Duties Develop and implement change management plans and strategies to ensure successful adoption of new processes, systems, or changes. Evaluate the impact of changes on various areas of the organization to prepare dynamic plans that meet the needs of multiple stakeholders. Assess organizational readiness for change and identify areas for improvement to ensure smooth transitions. Create and execute communication plans to keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the change process. Identify and address potential resistance to change, developing strategies to mitigate it in partnership with multiple teams. Design and deliver training programs to equip employees with the necessary skills and knowledge for new processes or systems. Provide ongoing support to employees and stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption of changes. Support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure successful implementation and provide feedback incorporation into training materials. Engage with leaders, managers, and employees to ensure alignment and buy-in for change initiatives. Identify and manage risks associated with the change initiative, adjusting plans as necessary. Define and measure success metrics to track progress and effectiveness of change management efforts. Continuously evaluate and improve change management processes and strategies to enhance future initiatives. Document all change management activities, including assessments, communications, training sessions, and stakeholder feedback. Provide weekly reports to the Lead Coordinator detailing change management activities, progress metrics, and any challenges faced. Qualifications and Skills Experience: 6+ years of experience in change management or a related field. 6+ years of experience with change management tools and methodologies. Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Visio, Excel, Project), Google Suite, and SmartSheet. Strong communication, training, and stakeholder management skills. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and risk management skills. Detail-oriented with a focus on process and quality. Preferred: Experience leading organizational change within large or complex institutions. Ability to create engaging and accessible materials for diverse user groups.
