Emerging Tech is seeking a Joint Cybersecurity Analyst to support the Federal Electronic Health Records Modernization (FEHRM) office. This role is ideal for a cybersecurity professional with experience in modern cyber risk management and securing enterprise systems, particularly within a shared Electronic Health Records (EHR) environment between the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The analyst will coordinate cyber operations, implement security strategies, and ensure compliance with agency policies and regulations. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate across cyber operational processes and teams within DoD, VA, and the joint EHR environment to mature cybersecurity capabilities Apply advanced knowledge of modern cybersecurity frameworks, including Zero Trust, to improve agency cyber posture Utilize hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools, network topologies, intrusion detection systems, PKI, and secured networks to assess and mitigate risks Design and implement systems that comply with federal cybersecurity policies and regulations Lead and monitor the migration of EHR data to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environment, ensuring joint cyber risk management considerations Plan and conduct cybersecurity tabletop exercises to validate controls and response procedures Develop and deliver briefings, reports, dashboards, and metrics for management and leadership Identify, escalate, and track cyber risks, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies in a multi-stakeholder environment Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related technical discipline 10+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, IT, or related technical fields Experience coordinating cybersecurity operations across multiple agencies and stakeholders Hands-on knowledge of cybersecurity tools, secure networks, intrusion detection, and risk management frameworks Preferred Qualifications: Additional 10 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree Experience supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, or other federal healthcare environments Familiarity with enterprise EHR cybersecurity requirements and joint federal IT environments What We Offer: Competitive compensation Generous paid time off (PTO) and federal holidays 401(k) plan, health, dental, and vision insurance, and other standard benefits Remote-first flexibility with opportunities for long-term career growth Mission-driven work supporting federal health IT cybersecurity Professional development in cybersecurity, risk management, and emerging technology
