10+ years IT or project management experience, strong SDLC knowledge, budget and schedule management, excellent communication, and preferably VA or EHR system experience.
Emerging Tech is seeking an experienced IAM Project Manager to support the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) initiative. This role involves coordinating with technical and functional teams across the VA, Department of Defense (DoD), and Cerner to ensure successful delivery of Identity and Access Management (IAM) capabilities in support of the joint EHR system. The ideal candidate will bring extensive project management experience, a strong understanding of IT lifecycle processes, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments. Responsibilities: Coordinate with VA, DoD, and Cerner teams to deliver IAM capabilities that align with EHR modernization objectives. Manage ODCIO IAM activities related to site deployment, training, and ongoing operational requirements. Support documentation, reporting, and information flow for EHRM-IO program needs. Facilitate meetings and provide stewardship for action item and decision tracking to ensure accountability and progress. Track project performance metrics including cost, schedule, and deliverable quality. Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure successful project execution. Minimum Qualifications: 10+ years of professional experience in a relevant technical or project management role. Proven experience managing Information Technology (IT) projects. Strong understanding of system development lifecycle and project management methodologies. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and performance metrics. Excellent communication and coordination skills across multi-stakeholder environments. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related technical discipline (an additional 8 years of relevant experience may substitute for degree). Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Experience implementing or managing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
