Overview We are seeking an experienced, driven, and hands-on Assistant Director of Engineering to support the daily operations of our engineering department in a premier downtown Nashville 30-story high-rise hotel. This role is ideal for a technically strong leader who is ready to grow into the next steps of their career. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational and communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. This individual must demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain high operational standards in a complex environment. Qualifications Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics across mechanical and electrical systems, with opportunities for continued growth Plumbing systems, including pumps and pressure systems Fire and life safety systems, including fire alarms and suppression systems HVAC systems, including chilled water systems, and familiarity with Building Management Systems Vendor coordination, contractor oversight. 3–5 years of engineering experience in a hotel or comparable facilities environment 2–4 years of supervisory experience, with proven success leading teams of 3+ associates (experience managing 6+ preferred) Working knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) Experience developing, implementing, and managing preventive maintenance programs Ability to communicate effectively with public and other employees.
