In this role, our Director of Strategic Finance Consulting delivers expeditious and high-quality execution on strategic and financial analyses (modeling and FP&A), presentation creation, industry research etc., with the ultimate goal of driving successful outcomes for our clients. Detailed Responsibilities Building Relationships: Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with client's leadership, their working team, and all project counterparts. Client Service: Acts as a credible advisor to client and project team. Highly responsive to client requests; works to proactively identify and meet client needs before receipt of client requests. Project Management: In partnership with supervisors and the client, develops and builds out the end-to-end project work plan and executes project work accordingly, making adjustments as necessary. Manages Embarc project team members and client team to deliver project goals in a timely and resource efficient manner. Seeks guidance and asks appropriate questions as necessary. Effectively communicates across all stakeholders. Drives optimal outcomes for all stakeholders, while meeting and/or exceeding client expectations. Quality Assurance: Develops and prepares audience-appropriate materials, including budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, benchmarking studies, board materials, etc. Ensures all work products meet Embarc's high standard of quality. Provides updates and presentations to senior client leadership to enable decision-making. Talent Development: Provides supportive leadership in the recruitment, training, development, and retention of top-quality talent, ensuring a high level of performance and productivity. Understands the individual developmental wants and needs of direct reports, and endeavors to provide exposure and development opportunities in alignment. Creates and promotes a positive and supportive work environment. Encourages and reinforces a culture of continuous improvement for processes, systems, data, training, people, etc. through effective coaching and feedback. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Economics, or related field. 5+ years of experience with corporate FP&A, strategic finance management, management consulting, accounting, or related field; Which includes a minimum of 3 years of FP&A experience at a Public or PE-led Company and 1-year leading finance projects. A combination of education and experience will be considered. The ideal candidate will have: Experience managing a Finance team, managing projects, reviewing team deliverables and providing feedback, and establishing and improving processes, strongly preferred. A combination of experience working in both a start-up environment and for a public company in finance roles, preferred. Big4 Accounting experience, a plus. Experience with best-in-class FP&A / Strategic Finance practices. Demonstrated success with cultivating strong relationships with clients, executives and boards Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external cross-functional teams, collaborating effectively to successfully drive FP&A processes. Superior statistical, qualitative, and quantitative analysis skills, with the proven ability to utilize data to influence decisions. Demonstrated strengths with financial accounting, capital markets, and M&A concepts. Proven ability to structure analysis efficiently, ensuring accurate conclusions in a timely manner. Proven capabilities in project management, including ability to manage multiple projects independently. Proven success with independently developing presentations and other communication materials executive leadership, external partners, and the Board of Advisors. Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to develop audience-appropriate communications and complex issues in a simple and easy to understand manner. Demonstrated excellence with presenting to diverse stakeholders (including C-Suite, Board of Advisors, and external targets), and aligning them around a common goal, despite competing interests. Proven ability to maintain excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Experience leading a team and ensuring deliverables are completed timely and accurately.
