Full Description

As a remote Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of lighting, power, and electrical systems while serving as the primary point of contact for clients and project teams. You will combine technical expertise with project leadership, guiding owners through system selection decisions and mentoring staff. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities while delivering accurate, efficient, and coordinated designs. Key Responsibilities Design Leadership & Technical Expertise Lead electrical system design decisions to ensure accurate, efficient, and code-compliant outcomes. Break down complex systems into understandable components for clients and staff. Perform facility assessments, site verifications, and project quality assurance reviews. Drive innovation and excel in areas of technical expertise. Project Management & Client Engagement Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, clients, and design partners. Assist owners in making informed lighting and system decisions. Manage multiple project priorities and deadlines. Deliver responsive construction administration services, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and site visits. Mentorship & Team Development Oversee and mentor junior staff, providing technical guidance and project support. Model professionalism, communication, and accountability within project teams. Foster an approachable, collaborative environment that encourages growth and learning. Documentation & Software Utilization Oversee development of complete, coordinated drawing sets in Revit. Ensure compliance with company standards and applicable codes. Utilize industry and company software (Outlook, Excel, BlueBeam, AutoCAD, Revit, Word, AGI 32, and LiquidPlanner) to manage projects accurately and efficiently. Maintain organized project files and records throughout design and construction phases. Professional Engagement Maintain professionalism, reliability, and self-awareness in all aspects of work. Build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and industry partners. Contribute positively to Emanuelson-Podas through leadership, collaboration, and innovation. Authorization to work in the U.S. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program Active Professional Engineer (PE) license 8+ years of relevant electrical design and project management experience Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Effective verbal and written communication skills The salary range for this position is $95,000–$120,000+, depending on education, experience, and technical proficiency.
