As a remote Senior Electrical Designer, you will play a key role in the design and documentation of lighting, power, and electrical systems for a variety of projects. You will serve as a technical resource within the firm, producing accurate, code-compliant construction documents while mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, and is confident in developing coordinated project documents with limited oversight. Key Responsibilities Design Leadership & Technical Expertise Develop accurate, efficient, and code-compliant designs for lighting, power, and electrical systems. Break down complex systems into understandable components for project teams. Perform facility assessments, site verifications, and quality assurance reviews. Excel in areas of expertise while fostering innovation and best practices. Project Documentation & Coordination Create and review complete drawing sets in Revit and AutoCAD, including model setup, sheet creation, and coordination with other disciplines. Ensure compliance with internal standards and applicable codes. Utilize industry and company software (Outlook, Excel, BlueBeam, AutoCAD, Revit, Word, AGI 32, and LiquidPlanner) to complete tasks accurately and efficiently. Maintain organized documentation throughout all phases of design and construction. Mentorship & Team Engagement Provide guidance and oversight to junior designers to support their technical development. Model professionalism, reliability, and accountability within project teams. Communicate effectively with colleagues, project partners, and other disciplines. Professional Engagement Maintain professional appearance, consistent work habits, and strong organizational skills. Contribute positively to Emanuelson-Podas through technical excellence and collaboration. Authorization to work in the U.S. Associate’s degree in Electrical Design or similar 8+ years of relevant electrical design and project management experience Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Effective verbal and written communication skills The salary range for this position is $95,000–$120,000+, depending on education, experience, and technical proficiency.
