Project Manager - Technology Consulting Division: Technology and Process Consulting Reports to: Director of Delivery & Program Management Location: Remote Salary: $76,000-$86,000 Position Summary Human Capital Education is seeking organized, client-focused Project Managers to support implementation and consulting engagements across Salesforce, Slate, and EPaaS/Insights portfolios. Project Managers are responsible for keeping projects moving forward-on time, on budget, and aligned to agreed scope-while coordinating the many people and workstreams involved in complex technology initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of clients, Solution Consultants (project leads), and Platform Consultants (technical developers). The Project Manager ensures clear communication, structured planning, proactive risk management, and accountability across all parties. Success in this role requires strong organization, responsiveness, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy. Primary Responsibilities Project Coordination & Execution • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and RAID logs • Track milestones, deliverables, budgets, and timelines to ensure on-time delivery • Facilitate regular project meetings, stand-ups, and status reviews • Manage project documentation, decisions, and action items • Ensure adherence to HCE delivery methodology and governance standards Stakeholder Management • Serve as the primary coordination point between clients, Solution Consultants, and Platform Consultants • Communicate expectations, timelines, and dependencies clearly to all stakeholders • Prepare and distribute status reports tailored to client and internal audiences • Escalate risks, scope changes, and resourcing concerns to leadership promptly Risk & Issue Management • Identify project risks early and develop mitigation strategies • Support teams in resolving blockers and competing priorities • Facilitate tough conversations with clients or team members when needed • Monitor scope and change requests to protect project health Operational Excellence • Maintain high attention to detail across plans, budgets, and documentation • Ensure accurate time tracking and forecasting • Support resource coordination with the Director of Delivery • Contribute to continuous improvement of templates, tools, and processes Required Qualifications • 2-4 years of project coordination or project management experience • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities • Exceptional organization and attention to detail • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to navigate challenging conversations with professionalism • Client-centric mindset and responsiveness • Experience with project management tools (Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, or similar) Preferred Qualifications • Experience in consulting or professional services environments • Familiarity with higher education technology (Salesforce, Slate, ERP, CRM) • Understanding of Agile and/or traditional PM methodologies • PMP, CAPM, or similar certification (or interest in pursuing) Key Attributes for Success • Proactive and solutions-oriented • Comfortable coordinating technical and non-technical stakeholders • Able to balance structure with flexibility • High emotional intelligence and accountability • Strong sense of ownership for project outcomes Benefits Include • 401K plan • Unlimited PTO • Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance • Flexible Work Policy • Community giving and wellness reimbursement Human Capital Education is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
