Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Customer Service/Sales Associate to join our retail team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, handling transactions accurately, and promoting products to enhance the shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be bilingual if possible, and have experience in retail sales and cashiering. This position offers an opportunity to develop sales skills, gain retail experience, and contribute to a positive store environment. Duties • Operate POS systems efficiently for processing sales and returns • Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries • Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties accurately • Conduct product demos and upsell items to maximize sales opportunities • Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and organizing displays • Assist with inventory management, including stocking and merchandising products • Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly • Support in supervising team members when needed, ensuring smooth store operations • Maintain phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone • Perform basic retail math for transactions and inventory counts Requirements • Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred • Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse customers • Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a broader customer base effectively • Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory management • Experience in merchandising, stocking, or grocery store operations is desirable • Supervising experience is a bonus but not required; leadership qualities are appreciated • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential • Ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining a friendly demeanor This role is vital in creating a welcoming shopping environment while ensuring efficient store operations.
