Title: Inspection Supervisor Location: Houston, TX Salary: Competitive + Benefits Term: Permanent Relocation Assistance Available Summary We are seeking an Inspection Supervisor to lead inspection and parts preparation activities within a fast-growing aerospace component and power-generation environment. This leadership role will oversee a team of 10–15 individuals, including inspectors and cleaners, ensuring that all as-received, in-process, and final product inspections meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, signing off Certificates of Conformance (CoCs) and FAA 8130 forms, supporting repair processes, and driving accountability and discipline within their team. Inspection Supervisor's Key Responsibilities • Supervise a team of inspectors and shop support staff, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and productivity goals. • Oversee inspection activities including NDT (FPI, Eddy Current, MPI, RT), CMM inspections, and dimensional/visual piece part inspections. • Manage QMS documentation and ensure complete, accurate inspection and traveler records. • Sign off on CoCs and FAA 8130 forms, certifying return-to-service of repaired parts. • Review and interpret repair manuals, engine manuals, and drawings to apply proper repair/inspection criteria. • Provide repair quotes by identifying required procedures and scope. • Assign daily work tasks, monitor progress, and enforce compliance with standard processes. • Support disciplinary actions and staff development where required. • Ensure all inspection equipment, tools, and safety devices are properly maintained and calibrated. Inspection Supervisor's Required Skills & Experience • Strong background in NDT, CMM, dimensional and visual inspections of aerospace piece parts/components. • Proven leadership experience, including performance management and corrective action. • Deep understanding of QMS systems, document control, and regulatory requirements. • Experience issuing or signing 8130 forms / Certificates of Conformance. • Ability to read/interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and GD&T standards. • FAA Repairman Certificate or A&P License strongly preferred. • US Work Authorization (no visa sponsorship available). Inspection Supervisor's Desired Qualifications • Supervisory experience in an aerospace MRO, repair, or component manufacturing environment. • Experience with CMM programming (e.g., Camio) and grit blast processes. • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with inspection/repair tools. • Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
