Senior Clinical Trial Manager – Oncology – San Francisco Company: Our client is a rapidly growing biotechnology company committed to advancing novel Oncology therapies with the potential to address major unmet needs. With a strong pipeline and a dynamic team environment, they are now seeking a Senior Clinical Trial Manager to take a leadership role in overseeing their expanding global clinical portfolio. The Role: As a Senior CTM, you will provide strategic oversight and operational leadership across multiple early and late-phase clinical studies. This is a highly visible position where you will not only drive trial execution but also play a key role in refining processes, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring operational excellence as the organization advances through critical phases of development. As the team continues to grow over the next 12-18 months, this role provides a clear trajectory toward an Associate Director of Clinical Operations position Key Responsibilities: • Lead the planning, execution, and oversight of 2–3 global clinical trials across Phases I–III. • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Clinical Trial Managers and Clinical Operations staff. • Partner with senior leadership on portfolio planning and risk mitigation strategies. • Manage vendor governance, including CROs and key external suppliers, ensuring accountability for performance. • Oversee inspection readiness activities and contribute to regulatory submissions. • Act as a trusted point of contact for internal stakeholders, delivering clear, timely trial updates. Requirements: • 5+ years of global Clinical Trial/Project Management experience. • Strong track record in Oncology therapeutic areas, preferably within a biotech or mid-size pharma environment. • Experience leading teams and providing oversight of global programs across Phases I–III. • Demonstrated success in managing trial budgets, timelines, and operational deliverables resulting in regulatory milestones. • Must be located in or near the San Francisco area.
